FCC Community Action Fund
The FCC Community Action Fund provides grants of between £2,000 and £100,000 to not-for-profit organisations for amenity projects eligible under Object D of the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF).
Only applications for projects sited within 10 miles of an eligible FCC Environment waste facility can be accepted, you can check if you are located near an eligible site by clicking Apply and completing the pre-application eligibility check

World Habitat Awards
The World Habitat Awards recognise and highlight innovative, outstanding and sometimes revolutionary housing ideas, projects and programmes from across the world.
More than 250 outstanding World Habitat Awards projects have been recognised over the years, demonstrating substantial, lasting improvements in living conditions.
Each year two winners receive £10,000 each and a trophy, presented at a global UN-Habitat event.

Megawatt Community Energy Fund Grant
The Megawatt Community Energy Fund uses profit from the business activity of Bristol Energy Cooperative and Low Carbon Gordano to encourage and support community action on reducing carbon in our atmosphere, and/or making energy more affordable. Bristol Energy Cooperative and Low Carbon Gordano are working with Quartet Community Foundation to administer these funds.

Grants to help with the roll out of smart meters The total amount requested should be between £15,000 and £25,000. ** Warning **the guidance talks about wanting to fund larger charities, but doesn’t specify the level of income required to be classed as a large charity – SCC will be following up with them.

SMALL AND VITAL PROGRAMME – The Small and Vital programme provides small grants for modest, short-term expenses that help volunteer-led community groups do important grassroots work.

Area Based Funding Rugby Council Grants
Organisations can apply for:

• a voluntary and community grant of up to £1,500 to support projects which benefit the local community

• a sports grant of up to £1,000 to support local sports clubs in delivering events or activities

• a youth and play grant of up to £1,000 to support events or projects which develop and sustain youth and play provision

• an arts grant of up to £1,000 to support Rugby’s creative industries and community engagement
-
• a Rural Development Fund grant of up to £10,000 to support projects in Rugby’s rural areas

This is London Catalyst’s main collaborative grants programme co-funded with the Hospital Saturday Fund which is now open for applications. They are looking for innovative partnerships that can improve the care and well-being of people facing significant barriers to health.

Road Safety Trust
The Road Safety Trust uses any surplus gifted by our not-for-profit trading subsidiary company, UKROEd to help create safer roads and protect vulnerable road users. They offer funding towards projects that meet our grant criteria. Grants are available for up to two or three years depending on the programme, and these can range from £10,000 up to £200,000.

Enterprise Development Programme
The Enterprise Development Programme is a five year programme, funded by Access – The Foundation for Social Investment and managed by a coalition of partners.
The programme will offer tailored support to organisations that are thinking of exploring new models of trading to help them become more financially resilient and who require support to make the transition.

Sport England – Major Event Volunteer Fund
The fund focuses on supporting volunteering and ensuring that those who give their time to support major events can continue to gain from the benefits we know volunteering can provide.

The SureServe Foundation
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to community and charity projects enhancing fuel efficiency and/or combating fuel poverty.

Area Based Funding: Bromley, London
The Community Chest was set up in 2013 to fund projects that will make a difference to the Phoenix community. Since then, we have awarded £700,000 to more than 70 projects, benefiting more than 19,000 people. Cultural Impact Development Fund
A £3.7 million fund providing small-scale repayable finance to socially-driven arts and cultural organisations. Cultural Impact Development Fund will pioneer the use of financial incentives to drive the achievement of social impact targets in its investment portfolio, making it one of the few impact investment funds with a clear trade-off of financial return for the attainment of social outcomes. The Fund is supported by Access – The Foundation for Social Investment through the Growth Fund programme, with finance being provided by its partners The National Lottery Community Fund and Big Society Capital.

Community Groups: Apply for a Tesco community grant
Bags of Help is Tesco’s local community grant scheme where the money raised by the carrier bag charge in Tesco stores is being used to fund thousands of community projects. The projects must meet the criteria of bringing benefits to the community. Grants of up to £2,000 are available.

Alec Dickson Trust
The Trust is passionate about volunteering and about young people making a difference. Grants of up to £500 are available. Grants are available for projects in the applicant’s local area that involve local people and can demonstrate that through volunteering or community service they can enhance the lives of others, particularly those most marginalised by society. Preference is given to supporting innovative projects. Applications are invited from individuals aged 30 and under and from small groups of young people in the UK.

Lloyds Bank Foundation Grants worth up to £45,000 and £100,000 available over three years (with the possibility of continuing to six years) that can be used entirely for core costs, with charities able to flex how much they spend each year.
Eligible for support are charities with an income between £25,000 and £1m across England and Wales tackling complex social issues such as mental health, homelessness and domestic abuse and with a proven track record of helping people achieve positive change in their local communities.

AHF – transforming places through heritage
This programme supports projects that will contribute to the transformation of high streets and town centres in England helping them become thriving places, strengthening local communities and encouraging local economies to prosper. The foundation’s mission is to make a difference to the lives of older people and other adults with a physical or mental disability; supporting practical solutions that lead to increased personal independence, self-sufficiency and dignity.
They fund:-

• Individuals living in England, Scotland or Wales

The foundation favour applications that encourage a person’s mobility, independence and improved quality of life. Their grants range from £100 up to £5,000.

More than a Pub – grants & loans available
The More than a Pub programme has reopened for applications, with £2.2 million available to support communities to take ownership of pubs.
​
This programme is jointly funded by Power to Change and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. It aims to increase the number of community-owned pubs open and trading and also to grow the range of services they offer to help the wider community.
Services provided by community pubs could include a shop, post office, library, internet café, cash point and informal meeting spaces for a range of community activities such as sports teams, choirs, live music and walking groups.
